Identify whether people will walk on the graphic

A logo used on a display object and an arrow placed in a walkway have different duties. Tell the supplier that the graphic will be walked on before selecting the material. Appearance and adhesion are only part of the floor-use decision.

Prepare a floor-specific brief

  • Location: identify indoor or outdoor use and the actual floor surface.
  • Traffic: describe pedestrian use and any equipment crossing the area.
  • Conditions: identify cleaning, moisture and the intended installation period.
  • System: request the exact film, overlaminate and installation specification.

Imagine a store wants to enlarge the logo used on its countertop items into a floor marker. This is a hypothetical example. Reuse the authorized logo artwork, but make a new material decision for the walkway. The same file does not mean the same finished product.
