Plan the fixed UV-DTF sheet around the objects

A fixed UV-DTF gang sheet should begin with the physical objects that will receive the decals. Record the usable flat area, desired orientation, copy count, and any boundary created by handles, seams, tapers, rims, or raised texture. Then arrange the decals inside the selected production canvas.

The object plan prevents a common mismatch: a decal may fit inside the purchased sheet but still be too large for the intended cup, bottle, box, sign, or promotional item. The fixed builder controls the production canvas; it does not automatically validate the application surface.

Preflight edges, transparency, and white artwork

UV-DTF can reproduce full-color artwork with white, but white artwork and transparent space are different instructions. Remove only the area that should not print. Preserve intentional white text, highlights, borders, and graphic elements. Verify that a checkerboard background is not baked into the file.

Very small isolated elements, narrow gaps, thin reverse lettering, and detached punctuation may be difficult to handle during application. Evaluate the design as a decal that must transfer from the carrier to the object, not only as a sharp screen image.

• Use the final object dimensions before setting decal size.
• Keep important details away from handles, seams, and heavy curvature.
• Confirm every design remains inside the fixed production canvas.
• Test unusual coatings or textured surfaces before a large order.
• Save the approved sheet and object record for replacements.

Application readiness is part of the production decision

UV-DTF applies without a heat press, but the final user still needs a clean, dry, compatible surface and controlled pressure. The transfer should not be positioned on a surface that has not been tested for the intended use. Flexible items, heavy texture, silicone-like materials, or uncertain coatings require additional evaluation.

Standard UV-DTF pricing is $0.04 per square inch. A well-planned fixed sheet combines accurate object sizing, complete quantities, and practical separation. Maximum density is not useful when decals become difficult to cut, sort, align, or apply.
