UV-DTF vs laser engraving: choose the finish your logo needs

Decide what the finished mark must show
A colored logo and an engraved version of that logo may communicate the same brand but look different. UV-DTF applies a printed graphic to a compatible surface. Laser engraving removes material from the object surface; the visible contrast depends on that material or the layer beneath it.
If particular printed colors are essential, start by evaluating the UV-DTF route. If a mark formed in the surface is essential, discuss an engraving sample with the provider. Neither choice is approved merely because the object is described as metal, glass or plastic.
Approve the effect, not just the file

A hypothetical approval decision
Imagine a logo with a blue word and an orange symbol. An engraved sample reveals a single underlying surface color. It may be an attractive alternative, but it does not satisfy an approval that specifically requires the blue-and-orange version. Obtain a separate approval for that changed appearance instead of presenting the file approval as approval of the engraving.
This is an example of an approval decision, not a Transfer305 test or a claim that engraving always produces one color.
Scope the UV-DTF order clearly
